Everyone at the club was saddened to hear last week that our former coach Alastair Christie had passed away at the age of 70. Al led us for two spells during the ‘90s and early 2000s and was the epitome of a ‘hard but fair’ coach who was much respected by his players. His oft-repeated demand that we leave our ‘Stew Melly heids’ by the side of the pitch before the start of a game will forever be remembered (and relevant) at Inverleith. Our thoughts are with Mary and the family at this time.
